All about me.

A life of travel…….

…has given me a keen interest in combining my medical background with my skills as an artist to produce images for Health Education and Promotion; particularly in countries around the world where visual images are often more easily understood than the written word. As a young child I traveled overseas with my parents and was brought up in Nigeria, Australia and Kenya. I later worked as a registered nurse in Kenya and as a midwife in Saudi Arabia, South Africa and then back in the UK. Determined to combine my artwork with my medical background, with the support of my husband and three children I eventually returned to my studies and was awarded a B.A. (Hons) in Scientific and Natural History Illustration. I then went on to study on a post graduate Medical Art course with the Medical Artists Education Trust here in the UK.
